Free Tool to Assess Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN) Skill
Many of the courses offered by our experienced trainers at APS Training Group require a minimum level of language, literacy and numeracy comprehension. However, you might not be aware of your skill level is in these areas.
That is why we offer this helpful assessment program that you can complete in less than an hour.
Our language, literacy and numeracy tool is designed to assess your performance against the core skills of learning, reading, writing, oral communication and numeracy (ACSF levels 1–3).
There are 20 questions in the quiz, designed to measure different areas of skill, including:
- Learning
- Writing
- Reading
- Oral communication
- Numeracy
If there is a question you cannot understand, you can press the skip button on screen to move onto the next one. If you need help reading the questions, we can recommend a text-to-speech program, which can be installed on your web browser.

Participants will receive an indicator of their current LLN ability in and emailed report once our trainers have assessed your quiz results. The report will indicate your ACSF levels of performance in the 5 main areas of skill.
There are no official prerequisites.
Participants should possess adequate reading, writing, numeracy and comprehension skills (level 1) to complete learning and assessment activities.
You will need an accepted form of photo-identification completing this course online.
